As a child who grew up during an era where everything was spelled with a x. An era that had dunk-a-roos and… I don’t know some other random thing kids in the 90’s liked… 3D Doritos? Yea, 3D Doritos. I was tailor-made for the newfound skateboarding craze that came along in the late 90’s.
Since I lack any athletic ability and I couldn’t even ride a bike till I was around 12, learning how to skateboard just wasn’t in the cards for me. There was a little something that was in the cards for me and that is Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater. One of the most addicting games I played during my childhood. I logged endless amount of hours into that series.
As of late the series has hit a bit of a bump in the road of sorts. Tony Hawk Ride will go down as one of the biggest failures of last generation and the series hasn’t really recovered ever since it became a yearly release.
It’s been nearly 7 years since we’ve gotten a proper Tony Hawk video game and it appears there maybe another one on the way. Tony Hawk took to twitter to say the following.
I’m currently working with Activision on a console game for 2015 (along with a new mobile game). I think fans of THPS series will be hyped.
