Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel Entices You with Claptrap Gameplay Footage

The Borderlands games are something of a marvel, in part because they never pretend to be anything more than what they are. The Borderlands games are about running, shooting and playing with friends, pretty much. You could come to some other conclusions but it might be thinking a bit too much about what is a pretty straightforward game series. The series will close out its time on last generation consoles on October 14th with Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel on Xbox 360 and PS3.

It might seem kind of weird to be releasing only on last-gen in our days of next-gen that is now actually current-gen. There are a lot of people out there like our own Jason Nawara that sold both his PS3 and Xbox 360 and is now sitting firmly in the current generation with both a PS4 and Xbox One. Of course, part of the reason why this game is even being made is to use the engine for cheap to churn out another Borderlands games without making a new engine for current gen consoles just yet.

This game is, in a lack of better phrasing, fan service. You get to play as what were formerly NPCs in the Borderlands games including Claptrap, which this video is of his gameplay. Yes, #IAmClaptrap. C’mon, have a heart, it is Ted Malakhov’s birthday.
