Oh my god, GTA V is coming to PC, PS4 and Xbox One!

If you were expecting anything about The Last Guardian or Fallout 4 tonight, then you are probably just a tinsy bit disappointed in Sony’s E3 presentation. If you are super stoked on rebuying games that you’ve already bought on the previous console generation and beaten, re-beaten, and logged hours into the multiplayer, then tonight was perfect for you. Among the current generation titles making the leap into the bright future that is next gen is Grand Theft Auto V, or 5, for those who aren’t familiar with the Rocky sequels’ use of roman numerals. Sony confirmed what most were expecting and already knew, that GTA 5 will be upgraded and ported the Playstation 4 and Xbox One. Well, no official word on Xbox One, but it’s a pretty surefire bet.

The game looks pretty great on PS4, with a lot of visual and lighting upgrades, but perhaps the biggest announcement to come from the reveal is that ALL CURRENT PROGRESS that players have made in Grand Theft Auto 5 online can be transferred over to the PS4 version. That includes both Playstation 3 AND Xbox 360. So, if you haven’t made the jump yet and are still on the fence about whether or not to go PS4 or Xbox One, this could be a deciding factor, as you can upgrade, switch consoles, and still have all of your unlocks that come with being level 432 or whatever.
