Replay: At Glory Ariel Sepulveda bounced off the ropes then got immediately KO’d by Dustin Jacoby

If you can dodge a wrench you can dodge a ball, so if you run the ropes in pro wrestling than you should be able to run the ropes in Glory kickboxing. A good bounce off the ropes should in theory add a little extra flash to your strikes. Let’s ask New York striker Ariel Sepulveda how bouncing off the ring ropes helped against Dustin Jacoby at Glory 23 in Las Vegas.

In the midst of a blitzkrieg from Jacoby, Sepulveda tried everything in his power to extend the fight. Head movement? Nope. Counter striking? Naw. Circling away from danger? Maybe next time. How about hurling yourself into the ring ropes and projecting yourself back at your opponent? There it is! A one hitter quitter from Jacoby and Sepulveda left looking up at the lighting pondering where his Lucha Libra career went south.
