So you’re telling me there’s a chance. Lost in Dana White in losing his mind on Twitter over the past couple of nights was a subtle Ben Askren note. Despite Askren taking constant verbal shots at White and every single UFC welterweight when he gets a chance, maybe there are not that many hard feelings still floating in the air.
Even though it’s now three years after its expiration date, could Askren to the UFC happen by 2016? In 2016?
White is ready to bury the hatchet and Askren is still ready to compete with best welterweights in the world. The MMA Gods get a twinkle in their eye with the mere thought of a shit talking Askren selling fights with Matt Brown or Johny Hendricks. Askren, a former University of Missouri national champion, has hated Hendricks since “Big Rigg’s” days at Oklahoma State.
Take a quick second away from trolling twitter goofs Dana White and focus on bringing Askren into the UFC’s 170 pound shark tank.
