It’s important to remember amidst all of the bloodlust that these are real people fighting in the cage. Superheroic? At times, yes. But real people all the same. Rory MacDonald has to poop today, and he will eat his dinner gingerly. He will go about his day just like you and I do, except he has been beaten to a pulp for our enjoyment and for his sport.
Of course, he signed up for this, no one is denying that. But when we’re watching a clip like this, you have to stop and think about the consequences. Will Rory MacDonald come back from this? Will he be able to continue to live a normal life? I hope so.
