Chael Sonnen says Jose Aldo could lose 3.5 million dollars if he doesn’t fight Conor McGregor at UFC 189

Ribs are expensive. Before there was the belt stealing, limousine riding, smacking talking Conor McGregor hounding a Brazilian champion for months on end there was Chael P. Sonnen. With the UFC 189 main event between McGregor and champion Jose Aldo hanging in the balance, Sonnen put on his promoter’s hat and busted out his TI-89 Titanium Graphing Calculator to break down the economic impact of the champ’s hurt ribs.

The UFC has funneled a ton of money and promotional muscle into hyping the ever living hell out of McGregor-Aldo. If with just two weeks before UFC 189 launches it crashes and burns up in the Las Vegas sky, how much money would the promotion and Aldo lose if he’s forced to pull out of the fight?
