Kimbo will beat Ken Shamrock in the first round, then will fight Tito to set record ratings, we think

Brock Lesnar this, Ronda Rousey that; Kimbo Slice still has the best ratings in MMA history. His fights on CBS will likely never be topped by an MMA personality. You can say that’s because of PPV buy rates being lower than a national broadcast, or you can just admit that Kimbo entranced the heart of a nation during MMA’s peak years. It was a perfect storm of badassness that lead to Kimbo being a ratings king not only for Elite XC, but for the UFC during the 10th season of TUF.

There’s magic in Kimbo’s beard, perhaps. His personality isn’t that interesting, and his fists are one-dimensional. He’ll probably knock out Ken Shamrock within a minute or two and then challenge Tito Ortiz. That’s the bout we need here. That will set record ratings for Bellator, and put them on the map more than a Rampage Jackson ever will. Sorry Rampage, but it’s true.

Bellator is going to make money watching old man Shamrock get destroyed in a pointless fight, and it’s gonna draw a bunch of eyeballs and most of all be FUN. Something that the UFC simply doesn’t understand how to produce anymore.

So let’s count down to what should be one of the best cards of the summer. Bellator, wow us, please:
