Let’s never forget the fact that Conor McGregor used his golden Irish tongue to leapfrog positions seven through one in the featherweight top ten to get to the most obnoxious MMA world tour in the history of MMA world tours. Frankie Edgar, Cub Swanson, Ricardo Lamas and especially Chad Mendes were taken out of the equation. Anyone with a takedown and striking ability was taken out of the equation.
That lead us to Mendes vs Lamas. A good fight. It solidifies the top 3-4 now. And Lamas looked pretty good to start, but Mendes is on another level. Only Jose Aldo can beat him, and there’s no way McGregor beats him. He’s a monster on the feet and few can stop his shot.
He’s a So-Cal bull. Lamas held in as much as he could though.
