Frankie Edgar mauls Cub Swanson for 24 minutes and 56 seconds before a neck crank from hell

The latest finish in UFC history goes to Frankie Edgar, who wiped the diseased mat of the Octagon with Cub Swanson for approx. 24 minutes and 56 seconds before neck cranking the hell out of poor Cub, who now has the fastest WEC loss and the latest UFC loss. A fighter as good as him doesn’t deserve those records, let alone one of them, but life’s a bitch, eh?

We now interrupt this superlative Frankie Edgar performance to discuss the featherweight that MUST be talked about:

Conor McGregor says the featherweight division is nothing but old has-beens. Well what if he gets beat by an old has been? Because Frankie Edgar should be making just about everyone outside of Jose Aldo shake in his boots right now. I don’t know quite what it is, but Frankie is… Different now. I don’t want to even think about that BJ Penn fight, that wasn’t normal. BJ lost that fight more than anything. Dolce could’ve beaten BJ on that night, but props are due where props are due, and Frankie is fighting on another level right now.

He did everything he wanted to Cub Swanson; Frankie zigged, Swanson zagged right into Frankie’s fist, and while he was dazed, Frankie worked the double like a champ. It was beautiful, everything about his performance. It was a clinic. Tonight was Frankie’s night, and where he goes now is up to him.

Frankie can either take a vacation and shut up McGregor if Conor beats Siver in January (a big if?) or he can take on a Lamas or Mendes. All good fights, but Conor/Frankie seems like the one to make in say, April?
