Paddy Pimblett looks and sounds like he might have been a character from the 1992 musical Newsies, a whimsical cinematic tale set around the great newsboy strike of 1899. So you feel bad when he is momentarily flash KO’d at 1:18 of this video, zapped by the authoritarian left hand of Stephen Martin. But a newsboy never gives up. Because regardless of snow, rain, hail or crackling slobber knockers, the morning gazette MUST BE DELIVERED ON TIME.
After several minutes of his routine a.m. clinching grind, Pimplett reaches deep into his mail bag and delivers a surprise paper cutting elbow. Just like that timeless joke about newspapers, it immediately leaves his opponent black and white and red all over. Oh Paddy boy, ain’t it funny how the Universe likes doing things that way?
