Ronda Rousey Believes That Cyborg Should Be Charged with Attempted Homicide

Oh Ronda. There is nothing that Ronda Rousey won’t do or say for the MMA world’s entertainment, especially when it comes to Cris “Cyborg” Justino. Cyborg was set to make her 135lbs debut at Invicta FC 10 in December when she came down with a case of injured-ankle-itis and was forced to pull out of the bout. Ronda Rousey was on Ariel Helwani’s MMA Hour today to hype up the new date and location for her bout against Cat Zingano when, you know, the inescapable topic of Cyborg came up.

This is where Ronda claimed that a woman of her skill and stature being on PEDs is the equivalent to a serious crime and that it could almost kill someone.

“If [a fight with Cyborg] happens or not, whatever,” Rousey said. “I’ll do it, I’ll beat her, it’s just, I mean, that girl in my eyes should be charged with attempted negligent homicide. Coming into the cage with performance-enhancing drugs is the equivalent of walking in there with a weapon.”

I’m not up on my legalese (where is Nate when you need him?), but I think that it’d probably be Manslaughter over Homicide, just because of intent and how it was for a sporting event. The point still stands, though, I guess.
