Daniel Cormier makes our list of altruistic individuals in 2014 for flying a pizza delivery man to his fight against Jones

Daniel Cormier is truly the people’s champion. Or at the very least, he’s the united fast food workers of America’s champion. The man who makes Popeye’s Chicken chefs squeal has agreed to fly out a weary pizza delivery man to UFC 178 when the slinger of said pizza found out Cormier, his favorite fighter, would be taking on Bones for the belt. Here’s what Cormier said on MMAJunkie Radio:

“If I’m his favorite fighter, and he wants to see me compete for a title, get me his information, you get him off of work, and I’ll fly him to Vegas. Now, am I going to take care of his whole trip? No. But I’ll take care of his travel. There you go.”

Of course, this sets a dangerous precedent for fast food slingers and their favorite fighters. What if Jon Jones gets pinged by his local burrito stand? It’s arguably not fast food, but neither is pizza. This is just far too confusing of a situation, so for now, we’ll just applaud Nice Guy Daniel and his altruistic ways.
