Rashad Evans Totally Into Going to the WWE… In Four Years

Rashad Evans isn’t quite done with MMA or the UFC just yet, but it doesn’t mean that the guy doesn’t have a retirement plan. His retirement plan is just, well, a bit different than what most people would do in his case. He’s Rashad Evans, he’s a former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion, so you could imagine him settling down with a gym in his name, spending his days cornering young up-and-comers in the UFC, or continuing on his work behind the desk for Fox Sports and the UFC.

Rashad would probably consider all of those things, but he would much rather prefer to continue donning his trunks and hitting people in the face, but only he’d prefer to do it in the realm of the WWE. Dave Meltzer reported that Rashad Evans has been seriously considering a career in the WWE after he was done with MMA and the UFC, which either has you excited or shaking your head and raging at your pure sport of MMA being sullied by fighting theater orchestrated by Vince McMahon.

Of course, Rashad Evans is 34 years old right now and according to an interview with MMAMania, he won’t consider the WWE for another four years when he’s done fighting. That would make him 38. Now, I’m not Paul Levesque (shoot names have been uttered) or anything, but that seems a bit old to get started learning professional wrestling. Plus, he’s no Ronda Rousey posting videos on Instagram of him working short matches or anything.

I don’t know, I guess it could happen, but it seems like a long shot. Then again, we wouldn’t complain about WWE being overrun with Brock Lesnar, Chael Sonnen, Ronda Rousey and Rashad Evans. That might even bring CM Punk back.
