Oh yes, Tito Ortiz really did submit Alexander Shlemenko in the first round at Bellator 120

We were just as stunned as you last night when Tito Ortiz did something that no human being has ever done to a guy that seemed as unstoppable as a young Fedor. It took only less than a couple of minutes for Ortiz to take down Alexander and slap a very tight arm-in triangle that secured the first victory of his career since July 2nd 2011 when he submitted Ryan Bader with guillotine choke.

No one reading this can even imagine the amount of adrenaline that surged through Ortiz’s fight-worn ligaments when Big John stepped in to separate him from Shlemenko’s unconscious carcass. I mean I couldn’t have been the only person jumping like a lunatic in their living room when the fact sunk in that Tito Ortiz actually submitted a (former) MiddleEasy Frate Trane.

Of course when Ortiz got on the mic, the first thing he said was the cliche ‘I’m back!’ which virtually means nothing in the MMA industry aside from boisterous cheers from the audience. However all of this really happened last night at Bellator 120, and ZProphet even has the .gif to prove it.
