Emmanuel Newton is now the undisputed Bellator light heavyweight champion — and of course that brings up the debate of how would the Bellator 205 lb champion face off against UFC’s light heavyweight champ? Let’s see, Newton vs. Jones — I think we can unanimously agree that Jones wins, or does he? Newton is a pretty durable guy, which is the worst attribute to have if you’re trying to actually win fights. Does Newton beat Alexander Gustafsson? Not sure, but I think Gustafsson’s fighting style just has too much swag for Newton to handle. Belfort vs. Newton? Well, now that TRT is banned, the only way that fight can go down in on Indian reservation — which is another way of saying inside the Bellator cage.
