So all we know from Bellator 110 is that Viacom execs slowly rubbed their hands in satisfaction at King Mo and Rampage Jackson winning their Bellator light heavyweight tournament fight. Now the company can parlay this upcoming bout in a TNA Wrestling ring, Glory kickboxing bout, and of course at minimum a trilogy inside the Bellator cage. Folks, that’s a license to print money, which undoubtedly has all those guys from Spike TV salivating.
Although the beef between Rampage and King Mo was sparked in 2009 and then subsequently squashed a couple years ago, it was ‘imagined’ once again when the two decided to ignite a scuffle inside the cage after Rampage Jackson’s tremendous KO. We all know that it was staged, and the greatest thing is no one really cares that it was staged. MMA fans have clamored over this fight for years, and we’re all just one step closer to seeing it play out in a multitude of combat sports. Now let’s watch this backstage footage of Bellator 110 and see if we can get a deeper existential meaning behind all of this.
