Joe Rogan believes Jon Jones isn’t sure he wants to fight a Klitschko brother after UFC 165

Mentioning how you can beat or would like to fight any of the Klitschko brothers seems to be MMA’s version of the Madden cover curse. Back in 2011 Alistair Overeem claimed that he was going to move to boxing and fight Vitali Klitschko — since then he’s grabbed two consecutive losses from Bigfoot Silva and Travis Browne. After Junior dos Santos knocked out Cain Velasquez at UFC on FOX’s debut, he said that he saw a lot of holes in Wladimir Klitschko’s boxing and believed he could knock him out. JDS then lost his belt to Cain Velasquez in a brutal face-rearranging rematch at UFC 155.

Just days before he took on Alexander Gustafsson at UFC 165, Jon Jones said he would love to take on one of the Klitschko brothers in a boxing match. Last weekend he was essentially outboxed by Gustafsson’s facial restructuring jabs and hooks. Moral of the story is although there is an element of boxing in MMA, those two disciplines are non-overlapping magisteriums. Even Joe Rogan believes Jon Jones isn’t sure he wants to fight a Klitschko brother after UFC 165 in this TMZ interview.
