Straight Shoot Retro Congregates to Converse Chi-Town Rumble 1989

The internet has jumped the shark. Yup. Now that dial-up is about as antiquated as the abacus, having high-speed internet connections has kind of lost its luster. Internet porn is no longer the golden fleece that it was when you were 13. Now it’s just a lackadaisical part of your daily routine that has contributed to your low sperm count and totally destroyed your libido. Porn is everywhere. Even when you’re not looking for it. Trying to find a shirt that fits just right because the GAP is having an online only one day sale? Maybe wanna snag some $1 flip flops? Well, while you’re at it check out this banner for, yup you guessed it, porn.

Ya know what else is all over the internet nowadays? Podcasts. You can’t sling a dead cat without hitting an internet podcast anymore. Even some of the dudes here at Middle Easy have one that they have dubbed “The Superchat.” It’s one of those rare podcast on the internet that doesn’t suck. Especially if you are morbidly curious about the depths of one Gary LaPlante’s depravity. Seriously. That dude can give Frank Reynolds a run for his money.

Another podcast that doesn’t suck, and is in fact pretty rawesome, is The Straight Shoot. Aubrey Sitterson and co. are some of the most informative dudes out there when it comes to the in’s and out’s of the professional wrestling industry (which is shockingly much more professional and less shady than the behind-the-scenes going-ons of the MMA world). They also do “retro” episodes in which they focus on the glory days of sports entertainment. You can listen to their latest edition of Straight Shoot Retro below, where they talk about the Chi-Town Rumble from 1989.
