There’s a ton of things in the world we just want to go away stuff like planking, the saying ‘YOLO’, and those extra ratchet pointy claw nails some desperate to be trendy girls are wearing. (Dear universe please never let me be so desperate to be trendy that I decide having fingernails that make my hand look like giant plastic spork about to go HAM on some KFC mashed potatoes.) There’s also a whole lot of things we want to see make a comeback. Around here those things include, Wu Tang Clan, Hypercolor t-shirts and Alistair Overeem. I don’t know what the likelihood of the first two things on that list are, but what I do know is the Reem is back!
Oh yes, my fellow MMA freaks-we can all rejoice in the news that the wait for Alistair Overeem to begin punching faces in the Octagon has finally come to and end! Hallelujah and praise Poseidon! It is being reported that this afternoon the Nevada state athletic commission has voted unanimously to reinstate Overeem’s license to fight effective immediately. This means the Reem will be returning to the octagon to face Antonio Silva as planned at UFC 156 in less than 30 days. As soon as I read the news I broke out into a really jacked up version of Eminem’s ‘Without Me’. Guess who’s Back, back again? Reem is back.
