[Sunday] Some dude recreated the Silva vs. Griffin .gif by carving all 120 frames on a giant piece of wood

Regardless of how bored you claim to be when you mope around your mother’s living room for the holidays, you’ve never been bored enough to take a spontaneous trip to Home Depot, grab a giant wooden slab and recreate your favorite MMA .gifs by tediously carving them with a bladed object. Leave that to Chris Rini, the world’s purveyor of carving MMA moments in wood and then praying to the fire effigies that it won’t get lit on flames. The guy simply hates trees so he’s taken it upon himself to carve as many things on wood as possible including He-Man landing a jab on Skeletor to Brock Lesnar punching his face after his victory over Shane Carwin (yes, the phallic-sword is in there as well). His official Instagram is simply filled with tree torture, so check it out if you’re into that sort of thing.

Now check out Rini’s recreation of that infamous Anderson Silva vs. Forrest Griffin .gif, every framed carved entirely on wood. Be impressed.
