December 21st-the day the Mayans have supposedly predicted as an absolute end to life here on earth, is creeping up on us each day. We are down to a mere six days left to exist on this planet if the Mayan calendar is really correct. If so, I am pretty sure the fight tonight between Rousimar Palhares and Hector Lombard on UFC on FX 6 is going to be the catalyst event that sparks the end of our existence. The amount of power rage energy that exists within these two walking examples of extreme virility combined inside an eight sided fenced in battleground might be enough to generate more man made heat than the large hadron collider.
All those scientists and researchers underground calculating and spending a fortune to create mini big bangs and discover the potential ‘god particle’ that created the universe and all they really needed to do is throw Hector Lombard and Rousimar Palhares into the Octagon together at the same time. That’s just a joke though, and apparently MMA has become a joke too-if you ask Hector Lombard:

“I actually saw him at the elevator, and Michael Bisping has got the smallest hands I’ve ever seen in my life. He says I’m a midget. OK. Fair enough. But I squeeze his hand – I didn’t want to shake his hand, but I said, I don’t want to leave you like that because I have a little bit of education – and he was about to cry, so I let it go.”
“But let’s go back to what I was saying to you from before. Now, everyone has become a professional wrestler. It’s just talk, talk, talk. Now, Mousasi says he never trained. Can you believe that? Is that a joke, or what? He used to train with Fedor (Emelianenko). He used to train with M-1. He went to train with [Georges St-Pierre]. Now, here we go, he comes back and says he never trained. I want to put my hands on him before I retire because I need to whoop that kid up.”
Hopefully this Lombard vs Palhares fight doesn’t send the earth spinning off it’s axis and into the sun because it sure does sound like Hector is making a list of guys he wants to bang with for our viewing pleasure.
