After George Sotiropoulos made your eye sockets fill up with rawesomeness at UFC 123 when he slapped a kimura on Joe Lauzon in the second round, everyone immediately ran to their mixed martial arts forum of choice and created threads with the title ‘Shinya Aoki vs. George Sotiropoulos now!’ as if they have some mystical influence over Joe Silva’s matchmaking ability. Hate to break it to you, but the fight already went down October 14th 2006 in Shooto – Champion Carnival. The fight was stopped early in the second round and you’re probably not going to agree with the result, but feel free to relive a little bit of MMA History.
If any of you missed an episode of TUF Smashes: UK vs. Australia then you’ve done it.
