Donald Cerrone. Cowboy. Kicker of heads.

Say what you will about the oversaturation of UFC events lately, the dice roll always just so happens to deliver us 3-4 hours of unrelenting violence at least once every six weeks or so, and this night in Atlantic City was one of those nights. We saw 11 fights, including the historical fist women’s flyweight fight, on top of the history-tying 9 finishes in a single event. All in all, that’s pretty historical. Throw in the fact that Donald Cerrone’s head kick knockout of Jim Miller was the first time Miller has ever been finished by strikes, and this article becomes historical just because it’s describing so much history.

This card was so violent, it was like Rich Chou booked it. Does that mean doom and gloom for our friends over in Dublin right now? I don’t think so, I think the ante is officially upped and we’re in for one rawesome week of MMA.

Even with the odds against them, Jim Miller and Donald Cerrone delivered with a main event that thrilled us with two finishes of Jim Miller (a low blow that wasn’t low at all) and exchanges of leather that were shot with tachyonic intensity. It all culminated in Cowboy’s 4th straight finish that makes you wonder if Cerrone/Bendo III is going to happen, or if Khabib wants to put a Cowboy hat atop his fro.
