It looks like Hendo and Cormier are possibly going to punch each other really hard at UFC 175… Maybe

Dan Henderson is the most Dan Henderson fighter in the world. This dude would fight God if it was between 185-207 pounds. Actually, Hendo would give God twenty pounds and then do that weird smile thing at the weigh-ins (Paul stands between them, giving Joe Rogan eyes, Jesus is applauding).

That’s only the Christian/Catholic version of that opening paragraph, it works if you believe in any faith. Don’t tell me Hendo wouldn’t fight Buddha or anyone that (once again) is under 184 pounds. That’s the only way Hendo doesn’t fight a deity. You know this, I know this, it’s not even something to be argued about. Hendo will fight anyone.

Daniel Cormier is next.

This is probably the fight Cormier needs to win at 205 before he’s considered a true light heavyweight title contender (at least in the champion’s eyes), and it also gives him an opportunity to put a huge notch in his belt if he gets the win.

Hendo will be coming off TRT for this fight after clearly looking slowed down in his last few outings. I don’t know how much of a difference it will make, but it should be noted. That said, this is the most Hendo fight in the world for him to win. Cormier is p4p one of the best fighters in the world, but few have withstood the H-Bomb. I want to see it happen. I love Cormier and everything he stands for, but I want to see Hendo get the win in spectacular fashion. It is after all, a middleweight fighting a heavyweight at its very essence (kinda).

Crazy fight. It goes supposedly goes down at UFC 175, but it looks like the contracts still need to be signed. Hopefully they do, because that’s the July 5th UFC Expo show with Machida/Weidman and another pretty good fight. Can’t remember which. I hope Barnett fights on that card.
